Lower control arms

When i was underneeth the car to check a nr.at my rear axle i noticed that the right lower control-arm,well lets say it doesnt look straight anymore. Now i am thinking to buy the Lakewood traction bars http://www.jegs.com/i/Lakewood/620/2...oductId=744077 does those eliminate the need of the lower control-arms or do they still have to be used?

Panos.

You still need the lower control arms to be in place.

Check out the instructions for 20188.

Burning some rubber and getting on it a little hard??
I would go with boxed stock or aftermarket type lower control arms.
They can be found all over the place.
If you go with boxed stock type you can add a rear swaybar, maybe some of the others too.

Man, there are oldsmobiles all over Sweden. Sweet. I'll see if I can get you some contact info for a guy on another Olds website that may have some information as to what he is doing with his Cutlass.

Ok sounds good! I have to reinforce it a little before the 455 is in place

All those traction bars do is limit the motion of the rear suspension under acceleration by binding up the suspension. Not ideal and a PITA on the street. They do have an adjustable upper link so you can back off the adjustment when not at the track. In my opinion, you'd be better off getting Dick Miller's rear suspension setup.
