input needed, baja suspension

looking for suggestions on suspension mods for a 1966 toronado, I am in the process of restoration and decided I dont quite want stock, I am considering either a road course version like the fitch Phantom or a baja version like this attached thumb my questions are concerning the suspension upgrades is it a simple lift kit all around with adjustable air shocks? any particular problems with the torsion bar front end? also any one have any further info on this 67 toronado. I also posted in the toronado forum but not much action over there.

Googled Frank Peterson tornado and found this.http://www.frankpetersonlmc.com/
Believe this is the guy. Has article of him winning 70 Pikes peak with 69 Toro.
I think its a neat project and he may help you out if you clone it.
Includes a 2010 article from Muscle Car Mag. about his 70 winner and his factory involvement with Olds for 26 years.
Good luck, Toros are really unique. Keep us posted.
Oh, generally only one post is needed, not 2 in different forums. When you don't get an answer just keep bumping it to keep it current and someone will chime in.
And it is a Pikes Peak car, not Baja.

Mexican 1000

I'm pretty sure its not a pikes peak car, in think they are closer to stock then this. Here is an article I found..

If a mod could move this to toronado section I would appreciate it. Here is a 442 that ran baja and a pikes peak tornado.

you could try cranking the torsion bars to lift it as high as itll go, and if i remember right the rear axle is under the springs so simple lift blocks will raise the rear.

Read the article at the Frank Peterson site. The 69 he built for the 70 pikes Peak is far from stock. 14.25 compression, special 5.?? gear ratio etc. Many classes at Pikes Peak.
The Baja 442 was raced by James Garner.
