Identifying frame swap

Hi, i bought a 67’ Cutlass supreme project car and it’s papers say the frame was swapped with that of a Buick but there is no more info and no codes on the frame to check. Do any of you have an idea as to what Buick would be most likely?
and also why it was swapped?

Why the frame was swapped can't be answered definitively by anyone who was not present at the time. Likely reasons would be rust or mechanical damage.

Most likely the frame is from another Abody.

The frame will be stamped with the VIN number of the donor car in at least two places on one of the side rails of the frame.
It may be on the top of the rail, making it impossible to read without raising the body.
If you can find it, it can be de-coded to reveal the make and model involved.

most likely to fit would be buick skylark, maybe because original frame was rusted bad.

Joe, that Hellwig kit is all weld-in; not bolted. Doesn't that make it better?
