I am having problems with the way the core support bushings go on, on my 1968 cutlass radiator. Its been a long time since I took them off and cant find any reference picks or information that will
help in guiding them back on correctly. First off, I do not know why my radiator support has slots instead of round holes that the new correct olds bushings fit into. My 1968 cutlass service manual
only shows how they go on 54 through 86 series is it the same for the cutlass?
is the 2nd pick correct in the way it goes together?
The diagram is in the PIM, section 11, page 140. The boss on the square bushing doesn't go into the core support, it goes into the frame hole. The round bushing slides over it from the underside of the frame. The core support just sits on top of the square bushing. The slots are for adjustment.
