Front Chrome Bumper Issue

My 69 Cutlass has had the front bumper re-chromed at some time in it's life (I found a sticker on the inside of it from a vender). The bumper looks good but right in the lower middle in the front there is a 1 inch crack in the chrome and there is a little blistering around it. Should I ignore it, or should I try and seal it with some type of clear epoxy or something to keep out moisture and prevent it from getting worse?
