Exclamation Frame Holes

Hi everyone!. As many know I have been rebuilding a 64 Dynamic 88 for a couple of years. I had gotten a frame last month and have been removing the rust. I'm about 99% with the rust removal but I found some holes on the driver frame rail behind the rear wheel. (These are the only rust holes on the entire frame) I put a nickel beside them to show the size, there quite small and a few inches apart. 5 of them

In your guys honest opinion, what would be the procedure for repair this? this frame is getting a helping of POR-15 once these have been fixed.
Basically, what size thickness of metal would be optimal?
Thanks, Alex

There is only one way to fix that, and it's to cut out ALL the thinned metal (which is a much larger area than the hole) and weld in a new piece of metal. I'm guessing you already knew that.

Take it down to Restoration Specialists in Franklin and let them dip it for you for a better clean out of the inside of the frame.
Repair the holes and the have the frame rustproofed on the inside.
Just my 2 cents

i just got a quote of 600 bucks for having my frame dipped here in cincinnati. i'm doing it but what kind of rust proofing are you referring to for the inside of the frame? i am resourcing everything now so i can make a plan of attack when i actually start my build. i have a 4 door frame that i will be boxing for a convertible restore, i was looking to have it powder coated after all the welding was done but was curious about how to seal the inside once it was boxed. appreciate your thoughts

You could have it hot dipped galvanized.
