Frame for 70' Cutlass

As brand new Oldsmobile owner I was glad and proud to get my 1970 Cutlass Conv. to Europe, but smiley face dissappered when I found out that the frame is gone !! A friend of mine told me of this great forum so I am trying to seek your help. Does anyone know if, and where I can get a new frame ??

There are no new frames available (well there is a very expensive custom tube frame that uses Corvette suspension, but I don't think that's what you're looking for). The good news is that any 68-72 frame from a GM A-body 2 dr hardtop or 2 dr sedan is identical. In addition to the Cutlass, that would be Chevelle, LeMans, and Skylark. There's on on ebay right now, already cleaned and powdercoated, currently at USD$500.

Smile The frame

Cutlass converts have boxed frames with narrower trans crossmember than the sedans and hardtops...similar to Vistas only shorter.. Kennybill...If a man has an Oldsmoblile then he doesn't have any limitations..

That creaking sound you hear is the crypt opening. This thread was two years old...
