Energy Suspension

Well , first post on this forum . I have a 1970 W31 I am restoring and have a question for the educated people that have done some restorations here . I would like to use the Energy Suspension master kit for this car and want to know if anyone else has used them . If so , do you feel it was the right choice or not . I have been reading all the other threads and have not found where anyone has used them on their project . Any input from you guys would be a great help .

Thanks

This isn't much help, but I just purchased them for my 72 cutlass front end. They'll be installed by Apr 1st, so I can let u know how they are. The 72 sways and dips like it's on dancing with the stars right now.

I put them in my truck and I'm not too pleased with them. If your looking for handling they are great. But they squeak alot and it drives me crazy. And the body mount bushings have no give and might as well be made from solid aluminum.

Ok , well who would people recommend for a "Quality" oem body kit then ? I see 4 choices , Inline Tube , OPGI , Fusick , and Year One . Are these the only options ?

I bought the front end kit from PST Performance Suspension Technology and got a little better than I was expecting. I was expecting made in China or India to be stamped on them but everything was Federal Mogul. I'm still in the rebuild phase so I havent driven on them but type energy suspension in the search bar I remember a thread on here about that.

Body Bushings: Fusick (correct core support bushing). Poly is probably not worth it for body bushings.

Suspension bushings: Take your pick. I favor Moog. But you should choose rubber or poly first.

You don't want polyurethane body bushings.

Body bushings are supposed to insulate the body from road vibrations.
Polyurethane will pass them right through to your cheeks.
