Custom cruiser wheels?

Anyone know about these wheels? Looks like they are alloys for the 80-90 custom cruiser. I've only seen one CC with them in my life. I've seen a few Buick Wagons from that era with alloys. I like them. I would love to get a set for my regency. Anyone have them or know anything about them? Thanks!

The Oldsmobile centercaps are difficult to find and prone to popping off, but a set would look awful nice on an early 80s B/C body.

Buick used no less than three centercap designs on these wheels which I think they began using around 1978-79- I've seen LeSabre Turbo Sport Coupes with them, but may have been added later. They were very popular on Estate Wagons.

Nice looking wheel. Never seen one like that on an Olds - ever. Doesn't mean they weren't made. Hope someone on this site knows. They would sure make your car look sweet.

Yeah, it would definitely make it unique! Most of the Buicks I've seen that have these rims have been missing the center caps forever. I'll keep poking around and maybe someone will post what they know. Thanks!

Smile Rear drive wheels

I have used a set of those wheels on my '81 Regency for a few years now and really like them, however I don't have any Olds caps and am using the Buick caps..There are early wheels with a large flange wheel nut and later wheels with a tapered nut that fits deeper into the wheel, you cannot interchange the nuts (with any safety)..If anyone has Olds caps for sale I am interested...

Those are cool wheels. If you could find the Buick center caps perhaps you could use the Olds rocket center cap "stickers" to cover the Buick tri-shield. I know you can get the Olds rocket "stickers" from Fusicks sometimes (they are used to restore SS wheels).

I googled custom cruiser and found this picture. The filename says 1991 CC, but we all know that's not right. Very sharp either way!

You know, I think GM had problems with VIN numbers in 90 and 91. My wife and I had a 90 Buick Estate Wagon that the insurance company and dealership swore was a 91 but it was the older (boxy) body style. It had the 307 SBO with a 2004R transmission. It was a decent car for $1500.

That is a cool picture! It's probably a '90...I think they used that grill. I've never seen those wheels before either. Maybe it was just used on the last models?

Right, 81 or 82 is more like it. But those wheels sure do look classy on that ride. They are Buicks just done over with an Olds hub center right?

Based on earlier replies, that seems to be the case. I've seen them on the Buicks many times, so they should be easier to find!

Actually, I think they were used in 89-90.

That's what I thought too...alloy wheels were becoming really popular at that time. Bet not many CC's had those!

If I could find a pair I would put them on my 71 98. Of course the price would have to be right.
