I'm fairly certain the engine mounts on my frame were never removed but I want to double check. Are the mounts supposed to be nutted from the top of the frame ? So the bolts go up thru the frame and then nutted ?

Don't know what car you have, but my '68 Cutlass 350 had the mounts with nuts on top (bolts up thru frame from bottom) from the factory...

 

Thanks for the help. I bouht a chassis service manual and it shows them mounted that way
