Coil spring, natural or painted?

Should my coils on my 67 442 be painted? If so semi gloss?

Gloss black or natural your choice for front coils. Rears gloss black.

I know this is for a Chevelle, but its an A body

I painted my front coils with Eastwood Detail Grey. Makes a nice contrast with the Semi-Gloss Control Arms. Rear Coils Gloss Black to match Rear End Housing.
