Coil spring insulators

I have a 1980 Cutlass supreme that I am putting all new coil springs in. My question is do I need coil spring insulators ?

From: Poteau, Ok

I don't use them on my 67, have not noticed any ill effects or odd noises. The weight of the car keeps them in place.
