body alinement, wheels, frame...

I'm trying to line up the wheels to the body, and the body to the frame on an 85 delta frame off resto. What is the factory spects for wheel to body offset? Or should I just move stuff around until the body panels line up nice (hood, fenders, bumper) and not sweat the wheel offset to the body? Is 1/2 inch wheel offset acceptable? I suppose I should be measuring to the frame in the front because of camber caster toe old bushings will move the front wheels????? I know I'm not working on a bugatti Veyron, just a delta(bathtub on wheels)... just striving for perfection but seldomly achieving it.

Is the body being square on the frame more important, or wheel offset to the body?
