Smile 442 Hood 1971-72

Hello there
This may not be the right place to search for spare parts , and-if-not-so, I hope that the administrator moves me to the right place. Thank you
-I'm looking for a 1971, 1972 Olds Cutlass S 442 Hood - the one with the nice side grills. - Perhaps there are other models it can be used from?
- If you can give me a picture (or two) and a complete price on the hood and Shipping to Stanton, California - I would really like an answer back - SAP!!.
thank you.
Thanks Tom -Denmark-

I would really like to ... I'll try to get permission for a few pictures - The thing is, it´s not my car. - so sad!
It's for a friend of mine that I help to look and write on the Internet.
But I can tell that it is a fantastic 1971 Olds conv. in super show condition :-) And now he wants a new hood.
-My own car is a much more sporty car, I'm a Camaro guy. Ha-Ha Just kidding!! - but that is not an issue in this forum, I know.

Many times apologetic the use of the Danish language in this forum - it is another Danish olds-guy trying to help.
- Feel free to any use of google translate :-)

Here are pictures of the type of hood I'm looking for.

Yeah, sorry, I'll keep it in English for convenience.

T-T: Gotcha, the one I have has holes in the rear, running perpendicular to the length of the car. Like so: http://i430.photobucket.com/albums/q...r/IMAG1591.jpg

I have a nice one but I am on the east coast and honestly, shipping would NOT be cost effective. I am sure someone closer to you will have one. Try one of the dry, western states parts yards---there are probably some there.

Well... if T-T is in Europe maybe he could use a shipper on the East Coast?

Yep - good thought, but I have already a container waiting in Stanton, CA, and to ship a hood alone to Copenhagen Denmark will hit me hard - 2-300 dollars - that will not work this time !!

Well - and I can see that this question on a specific hood is not a thing that explodes with helpful links, - It must be in a group "a really hard to get" - Damn

I think my god friend have to live with the fine hood he already has on his super car :-)

Thanks for now

maybe try posting a new thread in the parts wanted section. Title the thread

Non OAI standard 71 442 hood wanted.

You would have to watch two threads but I think many folks may see the 442 hood title on this thread and automatically think you are looking for the fiberglass hood - just a thought. I would think there would be a few of those hoods around, though they are nice looking hoods and i don't see them for sale often.

To be honest, there should be a few available, given all the people that are jumping to get OAI hoods.
