Looking to see what happened to my old ride, a loaded '66 Cutlass 4 speed convertible, factory triple blue, with a 425 under the hood. Left Houston in the late '90's for Washington state. Anyone seen her recently?
I had broke up with my girlfriend, 120#'s - brown hair - blue eyes- 5'7", back in the late 70's. Can't remember her name but I think she's still in NJ. Anyone seen her? She probably has pictures on Facebook.
It's pretty simple, as unique as that car was, you have either seen it or not. 35TAC bought one like it new, and was hoping to see pictures of another.

Assuming that someone dropped in a 425, as they did not ever come from the factory that way, I would say there were at least five hundred triple blue 66 Cutlass convertibles made, and probably five or so sold in Houston. Chances are, if a blue 66 convertible was seen in the Houston area, it would be his car, but, after 20 years, the car is probably dead, gone from the area, or inactive in a garage.
I looked up the album. Looks quite like mine delivered April 66 at A D Pelunis Oldsmobile, Lakewood, Ohio. Pictured the day I picked it up. 330 CI HC, D-4 Lucerne Mist with blue top and light blue bucket interior. P/S, P/B, 4-speed with console, minimum slip, dual exhaust, deluxe seat belts, tinted W/S and AM radio. Sold in 1970 in Cleveland. Looked for ever and finally decided on a red one.
Yep, with Trim Code 983. It would have been nice if my old ride looked half as good as yours did. Found it in Albuquerque, NM right after I got out of the USAF. Drug that car through various stages of construction up and down the East Coast in the early '90's, and had the pleasure of buying parts and learning a lot about it from several well known longtime OCA members, Jim Stohlman, Ed Fochi, Mike Richards and Mike Furman. With that '66 Starfire motor and 3.90 rear gears, keeping her moving forward with wire wheel covered white walls was a real challenge, but a heck of a lot of fun. I lost count of the number of new (at the time) 5.0 Mustangs and Z-28's I dusted with that sleeper.

Sorry your search has not provided the answer you were looking for. When I turned seventy, four years ago I seriously looked and had no luck. Even posted and ad in OCA and didn't get a sniff. After catching some flak on this forum about being to specific I found some peace with myself and gave up. Not to long after I got a call from a person thirty minutes down the road about a red one but it was an original 4-speed car. and I bought it. I am enjoying it but the owner I bought it from died a year after selling it to me. Long story short is you sometimes have to change direction. I have done business with several on this forum and they are great people. BTW, USAF vet 9/62 to 3/66. Spent a year in Thailand.Happy new year.
