WTB 1982-88 Firenza wagon
Yeah, when was the last time you saw one?
My wife had decided that's the ideal car for her. She really wants my 62 F-85 wagon. That's not gonna happen.
The Firenza is the size she wants and the "boxy" styling she likes. The wagon is ideal for our dogs. Prefer low-mileage (yeah, I know, they're a quarter century old). More importantly, prefer something that's really NOT a project (though the Quad 4 I have may need to get dropped in...). Let me know what you have. Thanks.

Haven't seen one of those on the road in years. I had one, a 87 four door sedan. The paint started falling off the can when it was only a year old. The interior door handles fell off as well it was a POS rust bucket within two years. Good luck finding a good one

I bought my wife a used 85 Firenza S. It was a good car, she put 45k on a $2500 car and sold it for $300.
Tell your wife to go sporty and squish the dogs! Buy this:

I had two Celebrity wagons with the 2.8 multiport. One went 240k and the other rusted too badly at 180k. Both engines ran perfect with no oil added between changes. Are you sure you can't talk her into a Ciera wagon? Much more common.
We also ran a '86 Cavalier wagon. That 2.0 was running great when the dump truck took it out at 160k.

My family had the buick skyhawks. My father had 3 an 83 wagon with 5-speed 86 hatchback and an 88 coupe with 5-speed. All worked well and lasted a long time. But haven't seen any for a long time.

I'll be darned! I didn't think there was one of those things left on the planet that wasn't in a private collection.
Should PM the person looking when you find such a treasure to keep it hidden from the general low morals sociopathic street public online , all the Firenza wagon vultures will be swooping down on it when they see this.
Chicago...not far...I do need transportation...Vista too nice to drive now...Oldsmobile...could get to Union Station on the Megabus for 15 bucks from downtown Cleveland overnight...must... check...mega...bus...sched...ule...

Mount Vernon was on the way to Marion, where I picked up my '61 Dynamic 88 in April. If I had only known this was nearby, score!
It's a long poke from Chitown to Mt Vernon, you would be better getting the supersaver to St Louis and thumbing it the rest of the way.

I have to agree...the Ciera wagons are a little bit bigger, but a lot more common. I have seen at least three for sale out here in the desert that rust forgot, for about twice that price of the Firenza, but with twice as much equipment...They're also still pretty common in LA, too.

My late maternal Grandfather's last new car was a medium metallic brown 1986 Firenza wagon with buckets and a console, wire wheelcovers, and vinyl woodgrain applique on the sides. Was a nice driving car; my grandparents bought it because it allowed them to haul the wheelchair my Grandma used in her later years. Was a nice little car; got great gas mileage, was comfortable, and even had a modicum of style. I wouldn't mind driving one today (but then, my daily driver is an '88 Lesabre coupe).

It keeps getting weirder out there. I went on a road trip today, 220 miles round trip into the boondocks. From the first mile today it was old cars being driven day, not necessarily collector cars either. Started with a 50's Beetle, then a K car and a '71 Delta 88 4 door. Then I spotted a '84 Buick Skyhawk for sale (!). Heading home I get passed by a Ford Tempo and then what do my wondering eyes see? A '84-5 Buick Skyhawk Wagon zooming along the interstate at 70+!
Holy Moley! Two 80's Skyhawks in 5 hours!

So, did you find yourself a wagon yet? http://lakeland.craigslist.org/ctd/2040070959.html or http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ws...034848345.html

I had an 84 Firenza wagon that my parents gave me in college when they didn't want it anymore. I loved it! It had the wood on the sides and was a bright blue color with the steel sport wheels. Head gasket blew at 151000 and it was all over from there. Passenger side was hit pretty good once too, but it was one of my favorite cars. Hope you found one.
