Looking for an Olds! Late 60's to 70's

My son and I are looking to get back into the Olds family! I grew up around the Cutlass, F-85, Ninty-Eights, Delta's etc.. mostly 60's and 70's cars. My favorite is the Cutlass, but we'd consider just about any model. Looking for a solid, straight, original car to restore as a project - a "keeper". Located in Maryland outside of Baltimore. Thanks!

Im in Arlington and I found mines on Craigslist. They do come up on there from time to time. I got mines in Leesburg. Needed the brakes gone through and springs/shocks. After that and a radiator it's my daily driver now.

Here you go. let me know if I need to arrange shipping from 80817. I have used Caronatruck.com a couple times in the past. They brought me my 1995 IMpala SS from VA to CO for only $600, but that was a few years back. With the cost of gas it may be a touch higher.

Let me know what you think.

www.oldsclub.org then go to local chapters in VA, PA, DE and MD which will be Capitol City Rockets (NoVA), Olds Centennial Club (Bawlmer), Blue Gray Chapter OCA (Central PA- western MD) and Delaware Valley Olds Club (Eastern PA and DE) . Contact these folks and they may know of something local to you.

Cutlass will be your easiest restore due to repro parts availability, but don't discount a nice big car or Toronado. A Starfire will be an ambitious job for a first-timer though someone here has a pair of 65's for sale.

I have a 67 Vista Cruiser that I am ready to sell. It could use some upgrades (carpet) but is in very good condition. $7900
I also have a '68 Olds 98 LS (4 dr), green with black roof and interior. There is some rust in the lower front fenders and the fender skirts. It's fully loaded. It runs great but the brakes need to be redone. $1100
I also have a '68 Delta Custom 2 dr fully loaded (buckets and console) in grey primer with parchment interior. The rusted fender was welded up and there is some rust in the trunk. $1800
I can deliver because I love an adventure (but there is some travelling cost involved).
I only have picures if the Vista. I can get some pictures of the other cars but I'm waiting for the snow to melt.

Good evening Jim,
Sorry to take so long getting to you, been traveling for work. If you still have an interest in '68 Delmont Convertible, let me know. Can I send you photos to your email address, I can not figure out this site. My email address is genmar2@aol.com.
Thanks,
Joe

Joe,

I use to have a 67 Delmont in high school. Great car! Yes, I'd definitely be interested in seeing pictures of the car and more details.
Thanks - Jim

Now I recognize you! We caravaned down to the Rocket roundup last year. You also brought your 68 VC. Didn't know if you had sold these. Saw the email from Ken when you had them up for sale. Personally, I like the 68 VC the best. Best Regards!

72 delta 88 complete california car w/455

I just picked up this two owner car. The original owner was the second owners grandfather. second owner spent much of the last ten years in jail and the car just sat at the owners sisters house. She would start it occasionally for him. The car is complete with no rust. all the trim and chrome are perfect. It starts and drives with no problems except brake booster not working. It is green on green and has been repainted a lighter than original color. The body has a few dings, nothing more. I removed what was left of the Vinyl top. It needs a dash, headliner, ??? It has 116,000 miles. If your interested it's a perfect project. I was going to restore it with my son also but we decided to purchase a dirt track race car instead. With a full price offer of $3000 I will pay 1/2 of shipping cost from so. Cal.

'75 Regency 'Tiffany Edition' for the Cause??

Good Point! MAYBE he DID find something and he's spending all his time working on it now?? Be neat to find out what he wound up with! (I've had a straight original 1972 Ninety-Eight Tiffany Edition Regency w/ only 67K Original Miles that I bought to pretty up; the Vinyl Top is sad and the paint needs some help; but it's a SOLID car that runs strong as an olds should but I've got too many projects to do it justice anymore -- he said he liked and owned Ninety Eights so if he'd want one of the Rare Regency ones I could make him a deal maybe...be a good Father/Son Project they could drive and enjoy as they went...)

Have a 70 98 White Convertable, I'm the second owner, have all the original paper work even the window sticker, not a repro the original one, has a little rust in the bottm of the front fenders, front seat leather is messed up on the drivers side, new top 2 years ago, it was the first replacement, runs great, redid the trans, seals, clutches, steels everything, redid the rear, bearings, seals everything that was replaceable, it just needs a new home, right front brake metal line blew out last fall and I never fixed it, it had 76 on the clock when I got it AC is still cold, new compressor 2002, email me at tucker4422@verizon.net if you would like some pics, no show car but a nice original that needs a new owner.

I hope you two guys realize that this thread was created and last posted in three years ago. I'm sure whatever issues were under discussion have since been resolved.

I suggest that Dog Sr. post his need for an engine in the "parts wanted" forum, and 1tcasson post his '72 Delta 88 for sale in the "cars for sale" forum.

It's not usually of much value to post messages in long-dead threads.
