Looking for a Hearse

I am looking for a Hearse to buy. I would prefer and Oldsmobile, but I am open to anything. I also tend to like the 80's versions, the ones built off the 98 chassis are cool, but the wagon ones are ok too. Although I think the cheap mid 70's converted Station wagon ones are cool to. I am in Pa, but I am open to either traveling or having a car shipped. Right now I am simply trying to find out what is out there.

OldCutlass I know of the PCS. Oldsmobile Dave that is a FWD and I simply won't own one. Probably more underpowered that the 307 rwd ones. Also not much I can do with it as far as modifycations.

Look online I believe Cincinnati has a business that deals exclusively with Hearses. When I was younger a buddy bought an 70s Cadillac one.

Thanx Orange442. I have actually seen all them. I have scanned many states on Craigslist. The 73 sounds best but sadly no pics. I let a 96 Caddy that was local to me pass. the listing was just taken down. It was immaculate inside and out. Maybe the best car I have seen. Just not for my tastes and don't think I would be happy despite being so nice. I want something I can make my own and look and run the way I like. And part of the problem is I have one I really want and the guy is unreasonable and hard to deal with. There are also some trust issues with the title.

Stickman:

It sounds like you are dying to get a hearse. I am sorry I just could not help myself. Good luck in your search.

Eddie and Orange take a close look at that Olds. For one both rear quarters are blown out at the bottom. I have found other pics of this car online. The rear quarters are gone at the bottom. And he has ripped out the rear interior to put in a rear seat. Which also means the the exhaust goes straight into the interior. No way in hell that will pass inspection. The other thing is it has been used for towing which means that 307 and 200 4R are well stressed. The other thing is as far as Hearses go this is a bargin basement one. No stretch either between the wheels or behind the wheels. The rear door is also just an adapted wagon one. No way it is worth anywhere near that much.

Stickman, this was posted here on CO, so you probably have already seen it, (or if you have searched Craigslist), but, for what it's worth:

Yea that one has actually been for sale for some time. No one seems to want it with the rear of the roof damaged like it is.

I found one awhile back. It is a 1996 Federal Cadillac Heritage with an LT-1 and a 14 bolt rear that came stock. The frame is a 28 inch stretch. It also has Hooker Competition headers with dual cats. The dash has been upgraded with all AutoMeter Phantom gauges. And the rear has been upgraded with a Grizzly 4.10 gear and Tru Trac diff. I will be adding my own touches as time goes along.
