Looking for a clean 83 or 84 H/O. Prefer something with under 50k miles.

I have been trying on the facebook forum but the search has been a harder than I thought - either way too many miles or the prices are too jacked up. I also should also list my preference order: Budget is subject to condition, mileage, and location.

83 HO with Astro Roof and Sand Interior
83 HO with T TOPS and Sand Interior
83 HO with T TOPS or Astro Roof with Burgundy Interior
84 HO with Astro Roof
84 HO with T-Tops
NO Slick Top Roofs (Must have Astro or T-Tops)

Thanks for any help

Probably should have been on this about 10-15 years ago or so, you could have gotten low mileage examples for about 12-15K-ish and such. No big surprise to find asking prices in 30-40K range for a low mile, mostly original car now.

There is one with 8K miles in Florida for 37K. I have looked at 4 in the last month - all had some type of rust or mechanical issues for low 20's. There is one with 39K that I like but there is no way to verify the mileage. I did a car fax and it only shows this mleage as of last year when the tires were installed - nothing further back

THis search has been a lot harder than I thought. I do know I will never look on Trovit again - they had so many nice ones but when you messsaged the seller the car had been sold for over 2 years, yet the ad said posted yesterday

I assume you saw this one on craigs list, since it is near you but you never know. It does have a few more miles than you want but looks pretty good.

Not sure if you've seen this one. I have no affiliation with this, I just happened to see it while poking around.

Sorry, I'm not sure why the link doesn't work. I just looked at this ad before I put up this post.
It's located in Maryland if you're able to find it.

@442 4ME Thanks - this one is too modified for my taste and they are not sure of the exact mileage

I have been looking at an 84 H/O with T Tops. The car has 39K miles but there is no way to verify. The car needs a headliner, package tray, cooling system (my choice), tune-up (my choice), T-Top Seals, and a few scratches. In today's market what would this be worth. The seller seems very honest in his representation and the pictures look good.

If it needs t-top seals, it really depends on whether it was garaged all the time or not. If not, expect a potential rusty surprise under the t-top plates. Inspect that area closely.

No way to tell how much it would be worth without seeing it. Certainly wouldn't be a turn-key car so that should suffer its asking price for sure. A tuneup and a t-top headliner is practically nothing, but cooling system and paint work, and those seals...it could be something, could be not much.

@69HO43 There is no way for me to go see the car in person - it is too far away. The seller has provided videos of these areas and I have a feeling there may be some minor issues below the top plates as you can see some discoloration
