Pick a year, any year .Someone on here has it for you. My youngest son now about 25 seemed to like the late 70's.While the older one 30 liked the late 60's ?.Me I like the 50;s & back. Ask him? Or just surprise him! Do some shopping ,Don;t make the first car the Worst car of his memory.Just my .oo2$ PS father & son projects don't end there I now live 125 mi away & they are still going on! Larry
I recently got a 69 cutlass for my father/son project, although my son is only 7, so it is more a father project. One thing I am finding is that there seems to be alot more parts available in the parts catalogs for 70-72 and less for 69 and older. You may want to take that into consideration.
I have a 1986 Cutlass Supreme white with new landau roof and rear window (weedeater accident), blue interior, blue pinstripe, new tires, CD player, air shock in rear. It just needs someone to drive and take care of it. I can send pics if you are interested.
I have a 69 2dr Cutlass S post body for sale. There is a 70 Cutlass S 2dr body donor car for any parts needed to restore the 69(AC parts,AT engine that would need a rebuild, etc) The 69 is a California car and has no rust-through so no body panel replacements are needed. Also all the trim on the car is excellent. Being a post body there are no rattles and the doors close like new. It has the original rally wheels with all the trim and good tires. Here's the link the the page with photos of it.
