1969 442 w32

Looking for the car I used to own. Worked at an Olds dealership in the 1970s and bought it from the second owner. Owned it for over 15 years before selling it in the 1990s. Last seen at Fast Lane Classic Cars in St. Charles, Mo. in September 2001.

The car was originally delivered through McKelvey-Kessler Oldsmobile in Ferguson, Mo. It is black/black with white pinstripes. Options include power windows, power antenna, and rallye pak. AM/FM 8 track and “Oldsmobile” trunk mat were added at a later date. There was an aftermarket alarm installed through the left fender. The deck lid cylinder was damaged in an attempted break in. I believe the car still had its original paint although checking in some areas. There was also a copy of the original window sticker.

It would be great to have this W car back in my garage. Any information of the car’s whereabouts is most appreciated!

Did you check with Fast Lane to see if the would tell you who they sold it to?

Do you have the VIN? If so, just keep doing a Google search. I talked with a guy at the Dallas Autorama a few years ago that had an outstanding 69 Chevelle 396 that was his original car. He said he just kept doing Google searches and finally got a hit. He was able to buy the car back.

Unfortunately, I do not have the VIN. I checked with Fast Lane and they have not gotten back with me yet. I am assuming privacy laws may prohibit them from sharing the information. I plan to follow up with them next week.

Thought I would resurrect this thread in case anyone has run across this car in the past couple of years.

If you remember who you had the car insured with, they might still have a record of the VIN.

How about details. What colors was it? Auto? Buckets? I know a guy that had one out here in Denver.

I tried the insurance company suggestion but their portfolio was sold a number of years ago and they’re out of business. The car is black/black with white pinstripes, buckets, console, automatic.

Was your old car already restored? My friend had a black 69 W-32. Black interior. It was original when he got it. He finished it years ago. Probably 20 years or so.

The car was not restored…75% original paint, motor was rebuilt, a patch panel on the driver seat bolster and that was it.
