I have found a Nice 67? Delmont in a town close to me. I have spoken to the owner and it can be had. I think it has been sitting now for about 20 years. The car was parked in the spot it is in now and left to rot. I think it is real straight and very lite rust at lower fenders and some on top due to the vinyl top. I think it has a 330 engine in it. this car is a four door, but all Delmonts were four door cars, right ??? I did not have a good way to take pic's at the time but I will be by that area next week and will take a few if any one wants it. I think he want a 1000.00 "This car could end up on Craig's list" he said. I did offer 500.00 but no chance. This car is silver with black interior. This car is sitting in the dirt down to the frame. Was this a one year only car?/

NO car that's been sitting outdoors in the dirt for 20 years is worth $1000.

I doubt even 500.

Especially not a bottom of the line sedan.

I sold a fully operational, registered, 60,000 mile, rust-free, straight '68 Ford Galaxie with a 390, cam, carb, and manifold, sway bars, new radiator, new water pump, new starter, new battery, and new tires to a high school kid for $1,200 last year after having it on the market for 2 years with no bites, just to get it off my lawn.

After sitting for 20 years the engine is probably seized. For a 4-door, I would think $300-$500 would be about right if you needed some of the parts.

 

I was not real sure but I thought 500.00 was the most it could be worth. This thing is real straight, the grill, bumpers are all real nice . I hope some one here ends up with it for the right price, if only for parts. I can help with moving and storing for a short time.

 

Run, do not walk away from this, my friend. You do not need this headache and that's coming for a Delmont owner! The drivetrain is nothing special or rare and 4-door body parts don't fetch much (especially since not many people restore 4-doors anyway).

The best thing the owner could have done for you was to turn down your $500 offer.

Just my humble opinion and no offense to any 4-door, full-size model owners!

In other words, I agree 100 times that the best move you ever made was walking away from that car. And I do so in bold face.

In the fullness of time, you will come to see the folly of even considering buying it.

And, in terms of price, I wouldn't pay $1.00 for it, because it's cost you time and money to haul it away and then dispose of the carcass.
