To the members of the forum. I was considering purchasing this car but had to spend my fun money on another project, I had a good friend that lives in Rhode Island go look at the car and I can say with confidence that this is a solid car. Has lived in New England it's entire life but it's not what you would expect in a northern car.
For the forum purist there is plenty to hate but if you are looking for a 20 footer and a daily driver this will treat you well. Power top works, start and runs well and good reviews all around from a very knowledgeable Olds owner. Thanks for looking at it Lew.
I have about 40 photos of the car, if you would like to see them just PM me.
good luck Bill!

Jack,
Whats to hate? Wish I had the room. Love this color combo
Bill,
We assume this may be difficult to do per health issues, but if you could provide at least a few more "money shots" it might help to sell.
Do you have a friend that could take it to a lift to get some well lit undercarriage pictures?
Has the 2 speed Jetaway trans ever been serviced? Any other service records?
Is this an original paint, top and interior car? Any Bondo body filler etc?
Any original paperwork? POP tag, owners manual etc. Any history?
What I would be looking for as a buyer or inspector:
-Remove the trunk floor liner and spare tire so perspective buyers can see the floor metal.
-Several shots of the all important vert boxed frame...rot prone areas.
-Why aren't the wheel well chrome trim pieces present?
-Metal dash condition where it meets the windshield.
-Rear quarter trunk drop offs from under the car.
-Rear wheel well inner & outer seams.
-Rocker to floor seams from under the car.
-Overall undercarriage shots.
-Pic of the trim & vin tag.
-Door and trunk seams.
-Front fender dog legs.
I have about an inch of receipts from the previous owner. Also, a spread sheet of what we have done. I have a cd of the service manual.
That stuff is good, but when he said "paperwork," I think the Doctor was referring to things like an IBM trimcard or a buildsheet or a Protect-o-Plate -- things that might show how the car was originally ordered and equipped.
Having had the opportunity to evaluate this car for Jack, IMHO it's an honest car that has fortunately had great caretakers throughout its life. Additionally the current owners are wonderful and candid folks...
