Thought it said 66..assend is 64

Looked at front pix for 1/2 second
saw it was M/T
THOUGHT FOR 8 G I'd get 2...though custumizing quarter like that mite subtract couple Gs from value...is that only thing wrong with it ?
Hav 66 rust free project from los angles am selling for bout 1/2 that
However if you cant turn a wrench or get hands slapped every time ya pic one up ,....small price to pay to make smoke billow from wheel wells ....
Initial impresion was price was high or seller was
But ya know what they say bout 'pinions..& poop holes....

Its overpriced for sure, hard to get item is air cleaner, I don't see that and those that have them want a G plus for them. Can't see shifter, aluminum moldings are really made out of unobtainium.... But with that said it is a rare car if legit. One would need to want it pretty bad and negotiate on price.... the quarter needs replacement and that would be another search and expense.

last december, there was a 64 / 442 for sale near my home in daytona. looked ok, was 4 speed , 330? motor so owner said in note on w shield. only thing that had me a little shy of it was the shifter. it had the round tube type with the t bar reverse lockout like on chevelles etc. was light green , not a top quality paint , but ok, good interior , said it was completely original. wanted 28 or offer. car was from new england, i think mass. i have the contact, and this made me think of it again. any ideas on how to prove originality, or value. ?thats a lotta years for the interior to be in good shape..

All 64 442's were 4spd, 330. It was a later release date car so a January build would not legitimize it. Rare part is the dual snout air cleaner. Stock shifter was a Muncie like you describe and I believe the handle was just about a straight stick. 29 G's to me would be a price for a perfect car, mint.

64 442

Nice car from the limited pics but what it would take to make it a decent driver is out there on top of the 8k. Then correct the trunk floor. More bucks. Didn't see interior pics...shifter, console or not etc. No drivers mirror! Somebody out there will gobble it up.

Drivers door mirror in 1964 was an option.

Correct. My 442 coupe didn't have one new, or a radio for that matter. Not even a hole in the fender for an antenna!!
