1963 Oldsmobile F-85 DeLuxe - Charlotte NC - $4800 firm
New battery and car cover (still in the box.)
-About 35,000 miles
-215 8 cyl 2bbl
-automatic
-Original 15" wheels (rare)
-very clean
-new fuel pump
-DeLuxe trim
Offering to ClassicOldsmobile members ONLY at $4800. I'm taking a loss on this car, I paid my mother in law many more Ben Franklins for it plus I have transport costs and small repairs (battery, fuel pump, lines, etc.) I'm out too. But I have appreciated the help of everyone here and wish to offer this as a great deal for a car of this age/mileage. Plus, I really could use the room in my garage!!!
Willing to ship via your carrier or deliver at extra cost. I would do up to a 500 mile USA delivery at $1.25/loaded mile (I would need to rent a trailer from Uhaul.)
Had it running and on the road yesterday. Went about 5 miles in the 92 degree heat and it did have a slight drip from the overflow hose when I got it back to the driveway. It does only have the standard radiator, but that could be upgraded without problem.
I'm unsure what it needs, if anything. It does brake well and steers fine. Radio works. New muffler. Fuel tank could possibly need replaced, but it does hold fuel. All windows roll down without issue and back up again. Doors latch well and lock fine. I cleaned out the trunk and there is the original spare in it, with associated hardware.
Two sets of keys with one original set with GM on them and other duplicate set. Owners manual included, along with whatever was in the glovebox. See pic below.
DeLuxe Package:
Floor carpets
Foam padded front seat cushion
Foam padded rear seat cushion
Safety padded instrument panel
Chrome roof drip moldings
Chrome door window frames
Exterior bright moldings
Two speed windshield wipers
De Luxe steering wheel
De Luxe interior - Chrome plated rearview mirror bracket, De Luxe door and window handles, front door dome lamp switches, De Luxe armrests (front and rear)
Rocker panel and wheel opening moldings
ADDITIONAL OPTIONS THIS CAR HAS:
Front auxillary floor mats
Windshield washer
Hydra-Matic drive
15 inch wheels and tires (unknown if they were originally white or black sidewall)
De Luxe radio w/pushbutton tuning
Oil filter
Back up lamps
Roto-Matic power steering
There are many pics in my thread here and also more details: https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...charlotte.html
Here are a few pics and a video of when I got it running again yesterday:

Just wanted to note that if anyone wants to stop by and possibly take this home with them from Nationals (headed south???) , I will be able to show the car on Sunday early afternoon after I get back home from Kingsport. PM me here and we can make arrangements to see the car(s).
New price good through 7/25/2016: $4500. Cashola. Final offer...otherwise listing on other sources like Craigslist, etc. for what I have in the car. Again, this offer expires end of day 7/25/2016. I really prefer this car to go to an Olds fanatic. Thanks!!!

Any interest??? I'm considering Charlotte AutoFair, but I'd rather have it go to one of the members here if possible. If you have interest, now is the time...as the AutoFair is April 6th-9th.

Never had time to go to the AutoFair...Well now school is ending and we have decided to move. My daughter is just entering high school and my middle son is going into middle school, so now is the time...
Looked like crazy for a house with a 3 car garage, but it didn't work out. So the car definitely has to go now.

Thanks guys! It is what is best for the car. I really can't give it the attention it deserves right now.
Someone can go out and have some fun in it without the huge cost on some of the other Oldsmobiles. I've seen riding mowers at Lowe's more expensive than this. Buyer gets a really fair deal and I get what I need at this point in my life, some room in my garage. So definitely a win-win.

I'm starting to get concerned that my buyer has either had something happen or no longer wants to go through with the sale. I have tried to contact them multiple times here recently to schedule pickup of the car and they have not replied.
I am going to keep the member private just in case something bad did happen on their end, but I wanted to let everyone know that I am taking backup offers on the car at this point. They never gave me their phone number so I can't call them. Deposit was done via PayPal. They do have my phone number but have never called or at least never left a message if they did.
I'm in a bad spot. I really was hoping to get this out of my garage a while ago and we closed on our other house already. So I need to make this happen. Kinda unsure what to do.

I'm garage space poor right now but do have other avenues for short-term controlled storage if you need to hit the road and leave the car here. Hope the deposit was strong enough Bill. Let me know if you need to go that route.

Thanks Brian! Yes, it was just $300, but I always look as a deposit as a deposit and will hold until told otherwise. Thing is I haven't had real good communication so I don't know what their intent is.
I'll let you know if I could use some space. Thanks. I mean, I could trailer it to Raleigh but I'm going to be doing enough trips back and forth and am looking to avoid an extra one if possible.

Thanks 71rocket. Not trying to intentionally bump my thread, but wanted to let everyone know that there has been a delay on the closing of the house we have for sale.
Originally it was supposed to close this Friday, but unless a miracle happens tonight then it will be delayed by at least a week.
So if anyone was interested in the car, but not able to make my tight deadline, then this could give you at least through the weekend.
PM or post here if interested.

Sale is off. Prepping for transport to new house. If anyone is interested in buying this in the future, PM me and we can possibly work something out. However, it won't be as cheap anymore.

I saw this wonderful old F85 this morning. Looks great in person and smells like a blue-haired lady just got out of it (AcquaNet hair spray came to mind). OP has a passion for the family vehicles and this one does not disappoint. The poverty caps on black sidewalls reminded me a police pursuit package and the bustling 215 V8 under the hood is remarkable. It may not be every man's cup of tea - but then again, it's an Oldsmobile - not produced for the everyday man but for men (and women) of distinction.
And true to my word, the OP took the controls of the SS Dynamic and had the drop top experience before it got too hot under the Carolina sun.

It was great to meet you with it on the way through VA. I ended up selling it before I left Charlotte. Guy came to pick it up and he flooded it. He said the carb needed redone, so who knows. Had to get a tow truck, but he was local anyway.
