Wow, clean car but way out of my price range. It looks like there's an extra emblem on the glove box door, anybody recognize what that is? John

"For those that might not know, this is a factory race car."
What a line!

Nice car, and only 88,000 trips down the strip and return road.
Burnouts add mileage even though you aren't moving so it could be less.

Question

Is the W-30 sticker on the fenders in the wrong place?

I believe that is a Hurst Equipped emblem on the dash.
I know Jame's and he's a great guy, if you talk with him, he'll tell you straight up what the car need's or don't need. There is something with the W-30 emblems being wrong or something, I can't remember what he told me. I'm sure if you ask he'll tell you.
And by the way W-machine's were factory race car's when they were introduced in 66' so the title kinda stuck.

He also, did have a 68' 442 I was real interested in, but I bought another local.
It needed paint and a fender, but was extremely solid. I think he was asking 5,500 for
Needed some TLC, but was a nice car as well.

Yup, so it's a repaint. The Hurst Equipped sticker was (and still is) available aftermarket. Not a factory item.

Is this James the portrait photographer in Lawrenceville who has [or had] a 68 442 and a 70 red 442 drop top? I thought his 69 W-30 was Brown w/ Black interior.

69's don't pull near the dollar amount 70-72's or 66-67's do.

last running 69 w-30 4 speed i saw that actually sold went for low 20's,and it was really nice.

now it's sitting on a car lot in Pa.the new owner had it repainted, and now wants 45k for it.
