Wth?

A little help from the more traveled/learned members. Saw this post on local cl.....what the heck is a Delmont?

Besides the Kennedy connection, Delmonts were the entry level 88 in 1967-68. They replaced the Jetstar 88 and to an extent Dynamic 88 series in the line-up. Small-block powered unless you ordered the big iron, in which case the 67 became a Delmont 425.

Mid-60s big Oldsmobiles are sometimes difficult to sort out.

That Delmont definitely looks like Teddy may have taken it swimming, though the Delmont made out a little better than Teddy's date.

Thanks Rocketraider. According to the ad it is a 67 with the 425. rebuilt engine and tranny w/ a new top in the box for 2800...might have to go take a peek

Very nice cars when restored. Hope its in good restorable shape. They are under valued in my opinion

FWIW, all 1967 Delmont convertibles used the 425 engine. Although I LOVE the new '69 Cutlass S, I miss my old Delmont. What a great cruiser she was.....
