It's a very rare car but the firewall has been modified for A/C and the original motor is gone. Also rare does not necessarily equal desirable considering it's basically a de-tuned W30
This car has already been discussed here two weeks ago.
In fact, this same car was discussed here back in 2012, and it took about a whole page of posts before the owner admitted that the A/C was not factory installed. Frankly, retrofitting factory A/C at a dealership would have been an enormous and expensive (though not impossible) undertaking. Without documentation of the conversion on a factory-built, one-of-25 car, one remains skeptical.
Skeptical...yeah...I guess so, Joe! The guy said he was the original owner, he bought it new, yada-yada. It's on ebay now, Alhath ID same as the guy who said he was the original owner. On ebay, he says he got the car from the original owner. No distributor, one of the few things that are totally unique to the W32. The weird waterfall stripes have been fixed. The last time I outed a W32 here, I got a lot of crap from people. THAT car was missing the distributor, too. And the rear end, and the transmission...I say if anybody thinks it's real, scoop it up and enjoy. It's history will always be questioned.

I messaged back and forth with the original owner extensively in 2012 because he wasn't very computer literate and he wanted to post pics of the car to prove it was a W32 with A/C. He was a lawyer and he was bound and determined to prove that his W32 was ordered with A/C. It turns that that it was....kind of. The dealership ordered it and then installed the A/C which, after a lot of prodding, he acknowledged he knew about. He also went on to say that the original engine blew and was replaced with (I think) a 403. (I haven't read the whole story in the ebay ad, this is all from memory from seven years ago).
I'll look back on my old emails an see if I can add anything. Chances are I can't because I mostly received pics from his secretary and I posted them. I hosted the original pics with on photobucket or some other picture hosting website which is long gone now. I sent him the links and he posted them. I thought I posted some too but don't see them now

This is the whole problem I have with this car, or more correctly the seller. He's reluctant to provide facts unless backed into a corner. That behavior does not instill confidence in me. I was not aware (or didn't remember) that he was a lawyer. I'll leave the jokes to others.
Sure...lawyer...that explains it. That's why now he says he got the car from somebody else. Section 69, Penal code 442, cover your tracks!
The original owner was a lawyer. I have no idea about who owns it now. I think Dave Nicol knows the story of this car after it left the lawyer's estate. I believe it was sold at an estate sale
Pics from 2012. As I suspected the emails didn't have any more info as they were from his secretary. The original owner was Gary L. F. Somers. I have a few more pics of the car but they are of the interior.
The car is GM of Canada documented so it's the real deal, it's just missing a few important original parts

Yeah, I remember that. It would have to have been modified. Fortunately, the holes for A/C are larger than the ones for heat-only, so it's relatively easy to go that way. The reverse is problematic.

Probably couldn't find a non AC clean shell , if the car was in Canada it's whole life, so and then made up this story even though the paper work is legit
