Banned for posting pictures received in an email? I have not heard of such a thing... unless these pictures contain scantily dressed women

This guy lives close to me. I've seen one of the cars from the street & it looks pretty rough. The other one I haven't seen. I can check them out in person if someone is serious about them.

You might need to downsize the photos - there's a file limit size on the site

If the pictures are an e-mail attachment, you may need to save them to your computer first and upload from there.

Nope, you will not get banned for posting other's for sale pics. In fact it could only HELP the other person make the sale!
They need to be 1.5MB or smaller for the site to take them with the attachment function.
If only one car was decent, the price would be okay if it ran an drove. The other would be a good parts source (if good for that of course).

In California the power to bees have made any car made after 1975 smog certification required, So to most of us here on the wrong coast pass this stuff by. It would require us to either track down all the missing smog stuff or go through the process of placing in a older engine making it no longer a true classic. Good luck to who ever gets them.

Gee, by 78 GM had most of the pollution controls pretty standardized. Maybe ignorance is bliss, but I'd think that the car prolly just needs tuning (or rebuild) and a good cat to pass.

Am I wrong I thought only Californian deltas were powered by oldsmobile engines in 1977.? So naturally wouldn't they be ready for the west coast?

There were dual standards one for 49 states one for California. When you bought a car in California it had to have a ca smog option to make it comply. At least as far as I can recall.

There is a California emission decal, a High Alt. decal and a Low Alt. decal. So California does have some specific smog requirement. Also Canada has it's own requirements, KPH speedo, Body decals, etc.

I was always told that 1976 and before oldsmobile rockets are in just about anything.. In 1977 though they put the rockets in cadillacs, the cutlass, californian bound autos, and high altitudes autos only..I was under the impression that these being 1976-1977 oldsmobile blocks in a delta they would had to be californian bound or not far off. . Thanks knowledge is power I curious about this subject..

1977 Chassis manual lists A.I.R. info. So I will assume air injection was required for California. I was under the impression that the olds blocks were in short supply during the 1977 production years as more than a million were sold. I do recall an article about GM having Chev motors in the Olds due to shortages. There was also a law suit against GM for that. Not 100% on what year.
