"Any engine in any car" is a mantra for custom car fans.

I know a guy in Texas who has put a bug body on a chassis with a bbc, but this car looks like it it has kept to a rear mounted engine.
Not my way of doing things nevertheless it looks like a good job to me.

Roger.

Saw one like this in NC that used to race at the local 1/8 mile track. Turned mid 7s if I remember right.

I've seen a couple of Bugs with BB and SB Chevy in there but those were stuffed in the rear seat area. Scary fast cars and handled better than you'd think with the mid-engine configuration.

NC CORSA (Corvair club) shows at the Charlotte AutoFairs and one of their guys has a Toro drivetrain in the back of a Corvair pickup.

Yup- any engine in any car (except Chevy into Olds!). In addition to shifters, Hurst made motor mounts. Ad slogan? "Anything is possible with motor mounts by Hurst!" The car in the ad? a Mini with a big honkin' American V8 stuffed inside it.

Come to think of it a Morris Minor with a 455 Buick stuffed in it used to show up at a lot of cruise nights around here.
