How much is it worth 73 Omega

This car has been parked 15/20 years in a garage or covered. Ran when it was parked. I inherited it from the original owner. All is there and original. Charlotte NC. Want to sell but don't know what to ask. Thanks!!!!

As it sits, probably $1500 to $2000, if you can find a buyer. That's assuming it runs, and from your posting, it's not clear that it does. If it doesn't run and can't be made to run, $500 to $1000.

While these cars do have a following, it is not large. These cars are essentially re-badged Chevy Novas. 1973 was the first year for the Omega.

What engine does it have?

It would be worth cleaning it up, getting that missing hubcap and then ask $2800.00. People will almost always try to talk to you down.

I'd be interested in the car at the right price. It's a really nice, solid looking car. It'd make a great daily driver.

What's the rust like?
I see a little creeping up from the bottom of each panel.
If it's just surface, that's a pretty clean car.

If it's clean, I see 2 potential buyers.
1. a guy that wants in on an entry level classic/muscle car.
2. a gear head who wants something clean to stuff a big engine in.

Either way, I'd put a $3500 price tag on it and go from there.
I think it's a nice platform to start a project from.

Yes, it's a great entry level Hot Rod. I was thinking it'd make a nice cruiser for the Power Tour next year.

My 2 cents.

There are not many decent Omega projects left. I think asking $3995 & getting $3500 is fair market value on that Omega.

1973 Omega value

Here are some pictures of my '73 Omega that I recently purchased in Southern California. I paid $1,200 for the car. 350 2 barrel, 49,000 miles. Unlike yours, mine was parked out in the weather for 10 years and never started. The windshield had cracked/popped, due to the heat build up inside the car. While the interior looks good from a distance, it's very dried out, I could feel the threads on the seats breaking when I first sat in the car.

While it only had light surface rust on the exterior paint (which came off with steel wool and wet sandpaper), the seal around the rear window dried out and rain water leaked inside the hatchback lid, ran to the interior bottom of the lid, then rusted a hole on the inside of the lid. Which then leaked through the rear panel into the spare tire compartment, rusting two small holes in the floor board.

I did get real lucky when it came to the motor, I changed all fluids, gave it a tune up and it fired right up!
