It could be. The tell will be if he has any reciepts for the moter and trans. To know how its built. Also a orginal hood is more valuable than a aftermarket. Check hood for cracks. then If the rest of the body is solid you could part it out and maybe make most of your money back.

i bet he has no receipts.

talked to him today, says its an original hood with steel underneath,has one crack in it,no air cleaner, says motor has less than 100 miles on it since the build,local shop did the work,has reciepts,said he would gladly pull a valve cover off for me.has reciepts for the t-400 and 2500 convertor.car has rust in the,trunk,rear qtrs,bottoms of both front fenders,bench seat car,with a pair of racing buckets in it.3" exhaust also new with flowmasters.has disk brakes,no posi. i ran it past the little lady and she is less than impressed.will she get over it ...yes.. thoughts?

what would pulling a valve cover show,a clean valve cover?

If I understand this post correctly, a 2fer sale is hard to beat. Just the parts alone could surpass 2k$, at least here in CA. You could take the money from parts sales and get the running train you want. Chumley
