78 Cutlass - 455 - TH350 - 3.73's
This a fun car that runs well. I have 5 project cars - ALL OLDS...something has to go
1978 Cutlass
455 (8.5 to 1 compression)
Performer Intake
G Heads
Modified to fit G-Body headers
Custom Ground Cam –.499 lift on a 109 Lobe separation, duration @.050 233/241
TH350 w/shift kit
B&M Holeshot 3000 converter
B&M Pro Stick in Olds console
Hard to find 8.5” 10 bolt ('85 442) 3.73 posi
15x7 & 15x8 Ultra Racing Wheels -- M&H Drag Radials, still hook good -- 275-60-15.
Buick Turbo Regal interior (Buick seats did not have plastic backs - which I like much better than the Olds and matching Regal door panels -- grey velour - no emblems) The rest of the interior is mostly comprised of '86 Cutlass factory grey parts -- (VERY minimal dying)
Has delay wipers, tilt, power windows, the AC was removed completely intact, it still is sealed with R12 freon inside, it would not be hard to put it right back on.
Aluminum Hood w/ functional cowl induction.
The car was painted in 1998 and it will need it again. Still looks good from 15/20 feet, I still take it to cruise-ins, so it is not horrible. It has very minimal rust. The clear coat is beginning to fail.
I have a bunch of $$ in the car over the years I am asking less than half of what I have spent on it. I will consider trades (trucks/SUV's that will pull a camper, even partial trades plus cash. Asking $5000.00. Reasonable offers considered.
Please call 540-989-4133 or 540-353-8811.

Sorry... I'm in Roanoke, Virginia.
I only have eighth mile times. I have yet to dial it in, it runs 8.60's / 8.70's but I have yet to get a good run in, it has more in it. That is driving it to and from the track. The ONLY thing holding it from solid 7's would be the low compression. (Some of the guys on ROP when discussing my combination actually estimete more like 8.0 to 1. I may have overestimated at 8.5.
This is not a street/strip car, it is a street machine/cruiser - a few changes and this thing would really go!!

I have seen some calculators that show as is it is in the low 13's in the 1/4. I know nothing about the MPH calculators it has run low 80's for an 1/8 MPH. Someone that knows what they are doing with the combination can squeeze more out of it I am confident of that.
What it boils down to is I have a '68 Cutlass convertible I want to finish, a '70 Supreme I want to finish and a '69 Vista Cruiser I want to save, and this car as much as I like it seems to be a raod block to getting the others done. I, more than anything want it to go to a good home, someone who will take it to the next level so to speak.
