Saw this and thought someone might like it. Definitely needs work.
Maybe Jaunty needs a third one to keep him busy.

Cool find Ish.
Quite a special car for its time. 1 of only 4 USA cars to crack the 200 HP mark in 1977. Luxury and comfort on steroids, $12,000 when new. I am assuming the most expensive new car in Oldsmobile history up to that date... As I am assuming every top of the line Toronado always was from inception to end of the line...

I read where the XSs were going to be powered T tops but Olds changed their minds and welded panels into the roof where the glass was going to be. I think you can see the weld if you take down the headliner.
Does that car have a 403 in it or still a big block?

That car needs a lot more than a water pump. It looks like rust where the vinyl top meets the paint on the side, an interior, rechrome the rear bumper and the filler behind the front bumper. That is just what I see from the limited pictures we have. Then it will have to be painted and we all know that is $$$$. I think it is overpriced.
With regards to engine it should be a 403, luckily due to the small blocks massive displacement. Not that far off of a 1976 Toro. 210 HP and 370 lb-ft for the 76 455 vs 200 HP and 330 lb-ft for the 77 403. Both vehicles were around 4800 LBS. Absolute chunk monsters, hard to believe 1300 lbs heavier than a 69 Supreme. While the Toro is a 4 passenger to a Supremes 6... But if its anything like the 71 Eldorado I had. You will feel like the king of the road in it, and bumps and potholes will be almost non existent short of a missing manhole cover...
