72 Delta 88 w/455, California car

I responded to an add for a 72 cutlass and found this Delta 88. The car has no rust and is complete with great looking chrome and trim. It wasn't exactly what I wanted but I couldn't pass it up. I had to save it from it's owner; He had got it from his grandfather who was the original owner. Before he went to prison he had repainted the car a lighter than original green, cut the dash radio out for a cool new stereo, and had the alternator and a few things under the hood chromed. The paint faded, a few dings appeared, the vinyl top and dash went bad and the brake booster quit working while he did his time. This beauty has only 116k miles and has been sitting for the majority of the last ten years in his sisters yard here in so. Cal. It runs and shifts great, could use a tune up and carb rebuild I'm sure. I would love $3500, would be happy with $3000, will take $2600 from someone who will love and appreciate her. Call Geoff 760-646-698-2.

Posting a few photos would help considerably. A few questions: what's the body style (hardtop? sedan? 2-door? 4-door?). Is this a Royale, or a "plain" Delta 88. This won't make a big difference, but it is worth knowing.

2 door sedan hardtop w/ vinyl.

I will try to post photos wed. unfortunately have a funeral to attend today. It's a 2 door sedan hardtop with vinyl top.
This car is complete and original and wouldn't take much to be a daily driving head turner.
I used to own a 72 Hurst w-30 hardtop that i let my nephew borrow for a date. I got it back destroyed. Apparently he owed the wrong people money. That was 20 something years ago and I've always wanted another one.

Man, with the owner of this car having been to prison and your nephew being involved with the type of people who would destroy his car, you certainly do associate with interesting people!

I know what you mean. I have some cousins who, while they haven't associated with known criminals so far as I know, have done some things in their lives, mostly many years ago when they were half their current age, that made me wish we didn't share the same last name.

If that wasn't all the way on the left coast, I'd probably be interested in it for that price. I had a '72 98 regency Brougham 455 for a while myself and that was a serious tank til the bottom end let go.
