Paul Martin is selling his prized 71 W-30. I have seen this car in person and it's flawless

Green with white interior is a great combo, however back then it was usually a green interior. My high school girlfriend wanted a 4 speed car so I found her a 69 cutlass, green with green interior bench seat 4 speed car. What a fantastic car, ran and drove perfectly..I just don’t like green on green, its not a slam to anyone’s car. I worked as a 15 year old at a new Mazda dealership early 70’s in Casper Wyoming..My job was lot boy, clean and detail all new and trade in cars, be the shop gopher etc..The ugliest combo I ever saw that summer working there was a 1973 chebby vega, mustard yellow with a god awful green cheapo factory interior. Still can see that turd today in my head…😆

Not for me but some like the green/green. It's one of those colors that worked back in 1970 but it's a tough color in 2023, especially at $150k. Still a very nice car.

if anyone is curious about the Color combination of this car as delivered, see the famous YouTube video of the test from car and track.
my car was ordered by 15 year old John Rose Jr in December 1970 as a code 49 (dark green) Convertible. John missed a few things on the order sheet like SS wheels and a few other options.
the car showed up in Feb 1971 as a Hardtop in code 42.The dealer quickly re ordered the car but never corrected the paint or other options. The convertible arrived in June 71 but still in light green. The dealer offered to repaint and John Rose Sr said he would wait for late fall as he wanted his convertible. He never took the dealer up on the offer and continued to keep the light green.
I purchased the car in Mar 1988 and when I restored it and showed it to the Rose family,John Jr said ‘that is what it was supposed to look like. I was never a fan of the light green and dark green has been a favourite Color for years.

Kool car. So at least one auto and and 4 speed had the same Green / Green factory color combination. Years ago I had a 1971 W-30 auto Canadian sold car that was originally the light Green but had been repainted Viper Yellow.

I love these dark green Cutlasses w/ green interior. I suppose this is because my Dad briefly had one that he got rid of after putting in a new timing chain. I had hoped it would be my first car, but alas, got stuck with a Monza.

i recall that car, it was code 43 with white int and top. I tried to buy it in the early 1990’s before the restoration. It was sold new out of Brampton Ont. Only 9 1971 W30 converts were sold new in Canada., 6 are accounted for.

Well, in the spirit of your reply, I doubt a manual version of your car would sell at the price you have your automatic. I speak as someone who could cut you a check tomorrow for your price, and I mention that so you know that I am not coming from a position of cheapness. Good luck with your sale.

Go away girlie. Thanks for the stalking though. I am glad the bell rings when I post wakes you up. 💋 What do you bring to this site? What thread have you posted? You talk so much 🐖 to me. I respect this car. That's why I brought up the details. You?? Bring nothing. Go cry to someone again to get me thrown out. You are awesome 👍
Cheers to no life 🥃

It was a long time ago but I thought it had a black top and interior / black stripes when I had it.
