In the picture, the passenger fender has the crumple bumps, and the driver's fender does not. I would need to see if I have another nice 70 442 fender for the passenger side.If someone doesn't mind the bumps,I have a perfect driver's side 71-72 442 fender, that I could sell instead,so it would match the existing passenger fender.

Is the driver's seat OK,or is it broke? It looks a little too reclined. If you need anything for that,I have some spare seat frames & parts. You might just need the rubber stops, unless someone modified them to recline back farther.Easy fix either way.

I forwarded the car & info to a gentleman out in the Long island area, that is looking for something like this. He's done his share of cars, and definitely understands the cost-saving of buying a solid car like yours, versus a patchwork quilt.
Get that cast off & quit hobblin around.

Here is a picture of the correct trans ID tag. The one posted above is from another car and it was put into the file of my car by mistake. I apologize for the mix up. I added some pictures of the engine & trans vin & casting #'s.

I looked at a 70 442 a few months ago and it had the same fender set-up. The passenger side had the "humps" (71-72) and the drivers side was "smooth" (70). When I questioned the owner about it he said if it was a late production car and they were running out of fenders, they would use a new (71-72) fender at the factory. I'm not sure if I bought the story but everything looked factory correct. Ironically, the car was the same 53 gold color.

That's funny my gold hardtop has the same thing with the fenders but I have heard they used left-over 70 fenders on early 71s not the other way around. Need to search for that info some more.
