Nice car, but for that price I don't see why it wouldn't be completely finished.

Not a negative comment Jake. Just an observation which I'm sure someone else would have mentioned. W31 clone? Nope, I don't have one so you should get your facts straight. You obviously have no clue about what the sig pic is about. And FYI I don't misrepresent my car, so what's your point? It's hardly a trailer queen.

Yeah, whatever. I'm sure your car will sell. I'll watch to see how much it goes up from the 18.5k once it's 'finished'.
EDIT: actually it IS an open forum and subject to comments as anyone sees fit

Thank you. Please take this the right way - maybe post some more pics of the car? Buyers always like to see the whole meal deal when they're considering a car. A single pic just whets the appetite. The Rallye 350 is a beautiful car IMO and was highly underrated back in the day, so owning one now would be like experiencing time travel. If you have a cloud that hosts pics, a link to that would help a lot. There are bound to be some folks who will want to know if there's documentation to establish the W45, so just a heads up on that.

What is the build date on your car?

I here ya 2/70 I used to post all my pics with image shack but they are no longer free.
So I need to find another site where I can do that kind of stuff. This olds site only lets you list 4 or 5 pics at a time and if you do not do it the first time you list you cannot go back and add later.

Johnny, I hear you with image shack. Found out last week when all my pics were gone! Cost me $20 for the year now....back to the Rallye.....for the $, looks like a decent price. I still don't see how you could come out ahead at 18.5k with all the work you put in! Are you gonna bring it to Bellmore at all? If so, I may come out and see ya! I can't buy, but I can definitely vouch for ya! Like Allan said, a very underrated ride!

Not sure if you have or want photobucket. It's still free but I understand it has its issues too. If you transfer pics [IMG] tags from there, you can insert up to 20 on a single post on CO. If you move or delete them on Photobucket the link to CO will also be broken. Anyway - it's just another option to think about.

Reason I asked about the build date? In Feb of 70, Olds marketing came out with a bulletin that made the W35 rear deck wing non mandatory, but I noticed also that your car has one. So that likely means the original owner or dealer order liked that look enough to keep it in the order. IMO that just completes the car so nicely.

Good looking car Johnny.
Curious, on the Rally's, did they
not come with the chrome trim rings?

No!
they did not, but a lot of the dealers had a hard time selling this cars so they put trim rings and chrome bumpers on to move the inventory!

Thanks for clearing it up.

I would think for the $, your
car would sell pretty quick.
Looks like you have spent
time and money well on it.

Just adding to John's comment, some dealers who couldn't move the R350 also resorted to installing chrome front and rear bumpers. I'd love to be able to travel back in time and buy a lot of these great cars.

X2 to this Allen. There was a guy who had a Rally 350 in my hometown. In a world that was full of SS Chevelle's and Mach 1 Mustangs I thought the rally 350 was the coolest car in town. Just so different from what everyone else was driving! Still true today.

good luck with your sale Jake!

Some one is getting a nice car that can be driven and used and not over the top on price . Good luck on the sale !

Yeah, i was just showing off the door panel that's before paint as other members noticed.
If you want i will throw in a snap on screw driver with the purchase.
