70 442 W-30 Automatic A/C restored

WILL BE RELISTING AFTER THE MCACN SHOW. THANKS

Most of you already know about this car so I won't detail it all out again. I will just link to the build thread. We want to pay off our house so if I can sell this car I will. My body guy is doing some minor details for me but will be available in mid September.

This car was build to dependability and reliability in mind. You can drive this car anywhere and not fear the slightest problem.

That would be $125K at Barrett Jackson.

Thanks Don. I don't know if it would go that high or not. If I knew it would go over 100K I would take it. It will likely be at mecum Indy next year if i still have it.

I judged this car at Olds Nationals and it was one of the best cars in this class. Awesome car! Good luck selling this beauty.

Good luck Eric!! That is the minimum you should take for that car - someone will wind up with one amazing car that from a quality and reliability standpoint would require an investment of well over 100K in restoration costs to have it done to your standards.

Thanks guys. Looks like I will be pulling this off the market till after the MCACN show. This way it will be a fully finished car and ready to go. We are driving it to Indianapolis the end of this month then the body guy will do some minor detail work. After that it is off to MCACN and then likely list it after that.

Does the car have a matching number engine and transmission?

Only thing not numbers correct are the engine block, carburetor, and distributor. The heads are the original to the car. I had the original intake to the car but replaced it with a one day older intake that looked just a little better. The carb is a 7040251 that was built for my engine specs by Sparky's carbs.

The last owner lost the original engine block. I used one from a 69 toro.

The engine internals were updated to all roller with Wiseco pistons and H beam rods.

I do have the broadcast card that has W-30 and matches the cowl tag.

You did a fantastic job on the W-30. Someone will be getting a great looking car as well as a great running car, especially with it being completed to your standards. I hope the 4-speed Jetfire is coming along nicely without any great concerns. With the house soon to be paid off, working on your projects should be a lot more relaxing.

I am trying to resist the urge to work on the Jetfire. I have to many other things to do before doing much to it. That car came available at the WRONG time and I sure didn't need to be spending the money on it. The problem is, it is only the 3rd factory built 4 speed car known to exist and I couldn't pass it up. I was wanting a 4 speed Jetfire and always knew that if one came along I had to do what I could to get it. The W-27 sold at just the right time.

I had it on there but removed it till after the MCACN show. Have a couple things in the works and needed to pull it back off the market. If these things don't work out or it don't sell at MCACN I will relist it.
