70 442 interesting color combo

Yeah, the hyperbole in the description is a little over the top. I really like yellow cars I have one now. Never seen brown stripes though. Lots of different colors on that car. Yellow, brown stripes, beige top, and the tan interior

How can a repainted car mean anything as far as a "rare" color combo? Wanna bet this started life as a green car with a green interior?
Has anyone started that Barrett-Jackson Disease support group yet? Should we choose a green ribbon (color of money) for it?

I like the bamboo and the top color but it has had a horrible job done on the top install. It hasn't been tightened up properly and needs some padding under the top in a few places. It will have holes from those tack strips soon.

OK, what's wrong with this picture?
Hint, that's not an Olds master cylinder, and they have the SMALL reservoir plumbed to the FRONT brakes!
Oh, yeah, that's a high quality restoration.
And don't even get me started on the engine color. The cheap-@$$ butt connectors on the wires to the trans in another photo don't bode well, either.

I guess I'm going to be out of sync here. Bamboo is the same as Chevrolet Gobi Beige that is not exceedingly rare. I always thought it was the most blah color they offered in '70. An accurately painted car doesn't look much in the way of yellow to my eyes, just kind of a dull tan. Although for full disclosure my wife sometimes thinks I'm color blind.

Yeah, we can certainly pick it apart. It looks decent though over all. I personally do not like the brown stripes at all or the variety of colors. Just an interesting combo. I'm guessing as Joe pointed out earlier this probably was a different color or at least had no hood or stripes on it from the factory. If it did and those are original interior and top colors with an original bamboo yellow then it really is a unique combination (may not be rare but odd none-the-less)

Non-W 4-4-2s had a pair of narrow stripes on the sides and across the bottom of the trunk lid. This car has neither. They were probably left off during the repaint.

I don't understand why we are even having this "stripe delete" discussion about this car. The stripe was deleted during the repaint, the same time the repro hood was added.
