nice car but with 69 restored HO's selling in the low 60s, it seems that a body is a 10-20k investment, but if it has its original running gear you can be safe to double that price? D heads and J intake and OH trans etc seems to add another 20k to the price?

I guess it all depends on how bad a guy wants a tag and a stamped turbo 400 with the letters OH on them....My buddy in nevada is in the same situation...His HO was owned by a friend of mine in the 80s...he had over 4 69 HOs he picked up...he parted out a couple too that were beat up-his car has an OH trans in it but its not the #'d trans for his car...I will get the #s off of it and post it up here to try and find the correct HO for his trans....Im sure his trans is long gone and MIA....so between your OH trans and his we just need to find the car they came in...

Yeah, I've been laughed at a little and told slim chance by others. But the way I've looked at it is I had exactly a zero percent chance without trying. Good for you, find out his info and post it up. You just never know.
