Black exterrior with black vinyl top, red interrior, buckets, 4 speed console, rally gauges. Minimal rust, very solid, missing drive train. Red fenderwells & air ducts in tact. Original paint. PO had it for 40 years. These pics suck, but if you're serious then I'll email better ones. Trunk has pin holes, drop offs are pitted & may have small holes, needs lower rear patches & small lower front fender patches. $6000

Nice! I think the car will sell for that price as it seems fair in my opinion. I wish you luck with the sale!

Someone buy this car now!! Its on my top 5 dream car list and is too close to me. If I bought it then I would have to keep it for a future build for myself. I don't really have the room to store it non do I need to spend $$ I am saving for the 54.
Someone buy it before I do something stupid.

Na' just being realistic with myself. Ive got 11-12 hours a day at work, wife and 3 small kids to take care of. Car time is going to get less and less as they get older and I'll be in my late 50's by the time the twins graduate. I don't want to turn around and be 70 and sell off a bunch of projects I never built. I see that with my dad now. Shop and field full of the "some day" projects and nothing done.

John was a very nice young man and we sealed the deal. Just have to get out to Arkansas from Va. to pick it up. Thanks for the offers of parts but I have everything to put it back together . It will be about third in line so no updates anytime soon but I will if interested.

You have a good prospective on it Richard. We all love our cars but family is more important.

Congrats to you Danny! I know you will do the car justice! Its found a good home!!
Its just too bad the car wasnt a TH400 car or I would have had it. Like you, I already own all the stuff for the automatic car!

Congrats again to you!!!

Thanks Tweed, Some day all the 66 and 67 restored and tribute race cars will have to get together and run each other. ---------- Danny

That sure would be nice ---- it was fun having 3 of us at Sturbridge -- Sam(Brainbeau), Joe D(Rund), and Me.
You will be able to add my Ramrod to the list someday too! Is yours gonna be a tribute racecar?
Dick Miller Olds day at Norwalk would be the perfect "meeting" place!!

Congrats to Danny!!!
Danny, I have not had the pleasure of meeting you in person but your reputation precedes you, my friend. Sooner or later, we will meet and talk Oldsmobile performance. I have a funny feeling that you know my car (and may have talked to Sonny Freeman or raced against it), and the mechanic--Frank Augustine--that worked on it back in the 60s and 70s.
I look forward to seeing the new W-30 project take shape (please post pics here during resto.) and am wondering if this is to be restored as "new" or as one of your old "racers".
Again, congrats on the great buy!!!

I suppose we could let Dave Siltman into our little group too? Maybe that would be a quantum leap to go all the way up to 69?

Tweed and Dave-----------Tweed ---I should have said 64-72 tribute and restored race cars and that would be a great place and central location. Dave-----All of the above in your post. We all fought it out at all the local tracks every weekend especially Capital and Aquasco. Sonny was a really nice guy and great competitor. I visited with him at the dealership one day and met a lot of the employees, maybe one was your Dad ? Frank was pretty quiet as I remember but like me preferred the 4 speed cars. Saw the back end of your car many times, it was always one of my favorites, so glad it is in good hands. I have some stories that have faded some ( almost 70 ) but best shared over a beer or two. This car will join it's twin ( except black interior ) for restoration . I'm cloning my 66 4 speed and a 67 auto to race here down south with my Sons at some association races and some nostalgia events. Also have my 72 Super Stocker and 72 stocker still. All this if I live long enough------Just looking for some fun like it used to be.----------Good health and luck to all----------Danny

Possibly Edgewater in Cincinnati at the 2014 OCA Nationals. It will be 1400-2000 miles each way for me since the car will be in either Albuquerque or Las Vegas before the meet.

I'll be there with the 67 -- the Ramrod wont be done by then.

Danny -- you better not be planning on sneaking one of your 455s in those 66-67s!! Ya gotta make it go with an E block! - (Anyone can go fast with a 455)!!
