He mentioned the Block is not original but it is a Olds E Block in it now. To my knowledge it has correct C heads for W30, having CA smog ports capped which i have never seen in the wild. Trans was swapped and im guessing the WOG tag was moved/added. No proof its a W30 but looks promising. Not sure about the rear, its a pontiac 10 bolt posi, which dted to 65 on a quick look but may be correct for the W30? OAI looks good and air cleaner look right to me. Carb is not right from what i can see. But sure looks nice!.

Somebody else may care to chime in on what rear a '66 W-30 would have come with.

After looking at this ad a couple times, I think the following:
1. That is probably an actual W-30 BODY, and probably the frame, too.
2. The ad does say w-30 equipment, but the title says 442 W-30, which would mean it is being represented as a W-30, not a 442 with exotic parts they added on.
3. It does not appear to have any of the original powertrain, which, on a performance legacy package, to me, is what matters most.
4. #3 increasingly does not matter to the buying public.
5. I think it will top out at 55 or so. One that had all original equipment, in that condition, I think, would do 80.

The heads look to be correct and original. Date coded block is all you're going to get otherwise. If he has the POP card and the sequence number is the same as the head they are absolutely what came on it. Otherwise they are correct California emissions C heads with a VG code on them.

I know this car and the owner, though to be honest I haven't seen it in at least 10 years. It's a nice car and the seller is a nice guy. He used to live in the DC area but moved to FL some years ago.

Along with the fact Jim Stohlman previously owned and restored the car. The car was never titled in Florida, I don’t think it was driven much since leaving DC. Very nice guy who owns it. Its a real deal car, drivetrain replaced, not sure about rear end on that.
