Listed by "Woodson24"; could it be Rod Woodson, the football player? I think he wore #24

Rod Woodson wore #26. He was my favorite safety growing up, so I wore #26 like him.

I saw engine was said to have been swapped but didn’t see anything on transmission.

Yeah, neither issue is immediately addressed. As best i can tell the engine swap is only mentioned by the previous owner in the comments section.

He mentioned the Block is not original but it is a Olds E Block in it now. To my knowledge it has correct C heads for W30, having CA smog ports capped which i have never seen in the wild. Trans was swapped and im guessing the WOG tag was moved/added. No proof its a W30 but looks promising. Not sure about the rear, its a pontiac 10 bolt posi, which dted to 65 on a quick look but may be correct for the W30? OAI looks good and air cleaner look right to me. Carb is not right from what i can see. But sure looks nice!.

Didn’t all 67 w30s and 67 442’s come with a Pontiac P type 4 pin positrac unit?

I know some 67 442's had a type O, 12 bolt, open rear diff and the W30's all got a 10 bolt, Pontiac P type positrac diff. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the Type O, 12 bolts became available in the second half of the 67 year for 442's but did not have positrac.

What are you guys thinking ...

As far as I understand the rear is supposed to be Pontiac... and it is.

The ad is layed out initially as a 442 (which it is) with "Features include W-30 equipment,"

All 1967 W30s had the 4 pinion HD P type rear end in them.

I thought this too until Joe set me straight. Type O (12-bolt cover, 10 bolts securing the 8.5" ring gear) became available as a running change during the '66 model year, and by '67 all 4-4-2s (and I believe lesser Cutlii) had them. Can't imagine Anti-Spin wouldn't have been available and what I really don't understand is why they would have reverted to the BOP 8.2" for the W-30 although I'm not saying it didn't happen.

Somebody else may care to chime in on what rear a '66 W-30 would have come with.

After looking at this ad a couple times, I think the following:

1. That is probably an actual W-30 BODY, and probably the frame, too.
2. The ad does say w-30 equipment, but the title says 442 W-30, which would mean it is being represented as a W-30, not a 442 with exotic parts they added on.
3. It does not appear to have any of the original powertrain, which, on a performance legacy package, to me, is what matters most.
4. #3 increasingly does not matter to the buying public.
5. I think it will top out at 55 or so. One that had all original equipment, in that condition, I think, would do 80.

The heads look to be correct and original. Date coded block is all you're going to get otherwise. If he has the POP card and the sequence number is the same as the head they are absolutely what came on it. Otherwise they are correct California emissions C heads with a VG code on them.

I know this car and the owner, though to be honest I haven't seen it in at least 10 years. It's a nice car and the seller is a nice guy. He used to live in the DC area but moved to FL some years ago.

Along with the fact Jim Stohlman previously owned and restored the car. The car was never titled in Florida, I don’t think it was driven much since leaving DC. Very nice guy who owns it. Its a real deal car, drivetrain replaced, not sure about rear end on that.

Hell the OAI is worth 1/4 of that. Who knows what those heads are worth. I would say great deal.

Look like typical "C" heads to me. What's so special about these? "D" heads didn't come out until 1968.

Smaller combustion chambers so higher compression. I don't know if they were just AIR heads, or specifically picked AIR heads, but, that's why.

They were just AIR heads. However they're not anywhere as common as the normal C heads.
