1991 Oldsmobile Toronado Trofeo

Pearl White with Antelope leather interior. Car was an OCA 1st place winner in 2011 with former owner. The car is just about the same as it was then as far as I can tell. Mileage is around 46,500 miles. New tires in 2020. Wheels are mint. Just a few minor chips in paint, very few. Cosmetics are 9.5 out of 10. Driver's seat has slight wear on side bolster from getting in and out but very minor.

A/C still R-12, new compressor and drier in 2019 blows ice cold. Everything works not sure about cassette player. Asking $9,500 obo, email me for more info and pictures. I even fixed the lower side seat trim that gets broken on these. Passenger side has a NOS piece drivers side repaired.

I would say the car would still win a 1st place. Car was from Texas until I bought it in 2015, so no rust appears to be always garaged. All fluids have been changed since I bought it. Transmission, coolant, and brake. I even had the intake manifold gaskets replaced due to minor seepage but none now. Ready to drive and go, no sorting needed.

Car located in Webster, NH

Olds 64,
See one of your treasures is a '71 LS. I had a '73 LS red w/ white vinyl roof & red interior. Car was so huge I had it 2 weeks before I noticed the clock on the front seat back for the back seat passengers! LOL! 455 c i. 270 hp motor.
How I bought the car is interesting. We used to have a publication here in the Mpls.-St. Paul area called Tradin' Times a buy/sell publication. Saw the car in one issue & saved it to drape over a coat hanger to keep my pants crease-free.
Well about a year later I needed a car so I happened to remember that car so I took the paper off the hanger, found the car & called the #. They still had it! So I went down & paid $1400 for a rust-free car; kind of hard to find in Mn, He also had another motor but I passed on it.
Just thought you'd find this interesting & another one of those car stories.

1990 trofeo

Wow, this brings back good memories. I had a 1990 Trofeo that was white with dark blue interior. I drove that only in summer but it went everywhere. Drove it from Toronto to Myrtle Beach in one day and it was so comfortable I was not a bit tired. I was getting about 30 miles per gallon at 70 to 75 miles per hour. I took it to Lansing for the 100th, and again it was a dream to drive. I always got looks and questions when I took it out, rare car for sure. Whenever I see one here on Classic, I long for mine. If I wasn't doing a body off restoration on my 68 442, I would scoop this up, but my time and cash is elsewhere. Whoever buys this is going to get a gem, and it looks like it is in excellent condition.
you should have no trouble selling this.
Vince.

91 and 92 Toronados were available with the digital dash. 92 Toronados used by Avis had the first GM navigation system, TravTek. Read about it here:

All works except the lumbar and none of them after 30 years work, the fitting on the inflation bag is most likely decayed. It is power multiple ways tilt, back front up down

With the 3.8L engine. Did you ever replace the plastic intake gasket?

I have redone the gaskets on the intake manifold, upper and lower in 2018. So the car is leak free for the most part. It has new oil and tranny gaskets. Also new transmission cooler lines all AC Delco so those do not leak.

As I recall only a Series II needs a new upper plastic one since they are prone to crack not the 1st series as I remember. This is not typical for these to crack.
