1984 Hurst / Olds

For Sale

1984 hurst olds.
I have owned this car for the last 17 years. I would keep it if I had the room to store it indoors. I bought another project car last fall and do not have the space in the garage to keep them both.
The car has only 94,400 original km on it (58,657 mi.)
Everything works well except for the radio which is not original to the car.
The car is totally stock and no modifications have been made.
It was repainted in 1991 and is still in great condition.
Dash was removed and re-dyed last year and headliner was also replaced.
New gas tank two years ago and new intake gasket last week.

Make me an offer.....

Thanks.
I've had a lot of fun with that car. I was only 20 when I bought it so I have a lot of good memories with it.
I am looking forward to making new memories with my family in the Starfire when it is ready for the road.

1984 Hurst Olds

If you haven't checked out this site you might post an ad there too. Most of the people on it are into the 1978-88 Oldsmobiles. Good Luck! John

Asking $11,500 for someone who will treat her with the respect she deserves.
Beauty. Almost bought the 83 version of this car. It had the reverse color scheme and the same red interior with twin lightning rods.

I live in Alberta. Bought a car from Ontario 5 years ago and had to do major surgery for rust. the whole bottom of the car I bought had seen too many salt laden roads from Barrie to Toronto. The sheet metal looked like it was new, but when I went under the car, I could push my hands through the rockers. What's the story with your car? How has it been kept and how much rust is there on the bottom? 94000 km is next to nothing for a rocket like this. But if you've already had to replace the gas tank, was it a rust issue, or what? I guess for me it's once bitten, twice shy. Please LMK ok?

The salt on the road sure doesn't help the cars thats for sure. I personally know the two previous owners and neither of them (or myself) have driven the car in the winter. I have always stored it indoors during the winter months.
I had it stored from 1999 - 2005 after I bought a house and had three kids I just didn't need to spend money on insuring a car I only drive once in a while.
The floors and trunk are very solid and the frame is also. The only troublespot underneath is the drivers side rear frame behind the wheel well. It is not rotted out but it is getting thin.
The car was parked in the garage and I started to smell gas although there was not any indication on the floor so I pulled the tank. It was
seeping through the seam on the tank. So I replaced the tank and figured I might as well change the sending unit as well.

I can send pictures if you are interested.
I will even drive it there. I have a lot of family in Alberta.

I remember lusting after these when they were in the showroom when I was in high school. THREE SHIFTERS!!!!! Good luck selling it. Good price - just not in the cards for me, though.
