The car needs to go because of lack of space

All offers considered.

Make me a reasonable offer & it could be yours.

Who cares? Tires are disposable and are simply routine maintenance items. That has nothing to do with the sellers offer; you're just looking for an excuse to belittle this thread. And if they were original they'd be 27 years old and probably in need of replacement IMO. The only thing that needs any documentation is the claim for 28k. He didn't say it was actual, but the car looks like it could be.

It's a beautiful car. Hope it goes to someone who really appreciates it.

you dont know jack about these cars,do you??

with 28k actual, the car should still have the original tires

it is so easy to drop another speedo in one of these cars it's ridiculous.

ive seen the tires that came on these cars sell for over $1000 a set,so yes,it's a big frigging deal.

As I asked before
What kind of tires came on this car?

I would think it would be hard to get 28k miles or 27 years out of a set of tires.

If that's important to you I'll knock the $1000 for tires off the price even though the 4 Eagle GT's on the car are good.

To be a real H/O there needs to be a 9 in the vin number. Factory used vinyl and not leather on the seats. The vinyl seat models were scarcer than the cloth ones. There should be a sticker plate on the dash advertising the 15th anniversary. I could not make one out on this car. Other than that the car looks nice.

Shows just how stupid this hobby is getting! Do I appreciate an all original car - sure do, but $1000 for a set of 23 year old tires that are dangerous to drive on, means either someone is dumb enough to risk the lives of many or hopefully is making it a trailer queen (which again is their choice but wouldn't be mine)

If I had the dough, I'd take you up on the 1k rebate.

I don't know anything about original tires, but if I had a car like that it would get BF Goodrich Radial TAs. White letter out of course!

Maybe Lucky could post the VIN to solve that riddle. I was looking at the pic showing the passenger side and it looks to me like the Hurst sticker plate you're talking about is on the console just in front of the lightning rods.

I seriously looked at one of these cars when they were new back in 83 but I can't remember for sure that that's the location of the emblem. The rest of the car looks absolutely immaculate, even the under hood detailing. If I lived closer this would be mine in a heartbeat, and much as it will be a classic, I'd be driving this one a lot. I remember my 82 Cutlass Supreme and it was a wonderful car to drive. Great ride and stylish to boot.

Everything is possible but man would it not be a royal pain to clone an 83 H/O with very little to no return. Post a partial VIN, looks like a nice car and maybe you'd get an offer

The car is located in South Florida. We are working on getting the exhaust parts, we should have them very shortly.

The car doesn't have that sticker, but I seriously doubt this is a bootleg car as it has the real lightning rod shift. Anyone is welcome to come and inspect it. You may be suprised at the bargain you'll get.

The dash where the sticker is can easily be removed and replaced. I know because my 82 Cutlass Supreme came without the clock originally. It was a simple matter pop the dash cover off, remove the filler plate and install the clock, then pop the cover back in. It's totally possible that someone replaced the dash panel on your car with a non hurst one.

Lucky, can you post the VIN from the car? It will help everyone who isn't sure about the authenticity of the car. FYI, I have seen auctions where the lighting rods and console have been up for grabs. This one sold on ebay in 2005 for some good coin.

I don't know how much modification it takes to install them, but I think that's one of the issues that may be surfacing here in terms of skepticism? Personally I wouldn't spend all that time on the car upgrading the shifter and doing a fabulous paint job to sell the car. I'd be wanting to drive it. The VIN will remove any doubt and prove to everyone that they are looking at the real thing. I'm sure the dash part can be got from somewhere if it was swapped out by someone for a souvenir??

Lucky, seems like several are interested if you would post the first roughly 10 digits of the vin. BTW, ignore the wonderfully helpful "car guy" from OH. Not sure if it's just a real funny sarcasm but nice to know someone with "knowledge" is willing to be a . I'm not 100% sure but believe the tires were Goodyear Eagle GT, GT 2s are I think still available. Hope this helps.

From the phone number the seller has given he's a used car dealer. I would make sure you're 100% sure this car is everything he says it is.

I stand with Andy on this one (this may be a first )

Those appear to be correct original tires...

Is the trunk spoiler 3 piece? Looks a bit wide and 1 piece to me.

This is the 2nd '83 H/O I've seen with the upper radiator hose strapped to the fan shroud. There should be an alternator bracket with a hose support on there for the VIN 9 only in '83. The other car I saw had 32 miles on it, and had never been prepped at the dealer, so we know that one hadn't been changed.
