Deep Purple must have done the song "Highway Star" just for us Olds' guys. I drove my Barca-Lounger, I mean my Delta 88, from Medford, Oregon to Salt Lake City, Utah and back. No coolant loss, but it did use just over half a quart of oil. Not too bad for a 40 year old (boat? tank?) car. But it was a true highway star one day when I had a left front tire blow-out, doing 70, half way into a tight right hand highway curve. Didn't feel a thing, just heard a loud pop. Just eased off the gas and floated around that curve smooth as silk. If I could afford it, I would buy the bed off a front end totaled El Camino.
