Hi Stinky,
It sounds like you've got a good car for someone that likes to walk.
Does it make the knocking sound when you roll it over?
Do you think if you put that radiator back in it would safely drive to Kansas City?
I think a rod knock, if it has one, prevents it from being "OVER ALL SOLID".
You will have to post some pictures. Do you have wiggle room on the price?

If you don't make it run and confirm the condition of the engine someone would have to go into the project assuming that they need to plan on a rebuild or a different motor and from the picture it looks like it needs at least the driver seat re-covered. I think you have the best chance of recovering your investment or some of it by putting it on this forum at your lowest price and more likely by selling it in your local craigslist. I notice in the "Cars for Sale" section of this forum that some pretty nice running and driving cars get listed for under five thousand. Good luck, you might find someone here that already has an engine looking for a place to use it.

You would do a lot better on here if you dropped the pissy attitude. There are lot good folks on here that are glad to help. You are here for one purpose and that is to sell a car. You were very politely given some suggestions and you go off and act like an ahole. I would not sit be the phone if I were you.

Yeah, we have people come on here from time to time, register, then immediately post a car for sale and cop an attitude.

They don't sell really well.

Pissy..?? Its quite obvious by the price and my description it wasn't a Running car....and that its not a rust bucket...Aint like I was askin 22,000..jeez..Relax guys..I know a serious BUYER when I see one....plus..whenever I bought a car..I CALL and make contact and get a real description of the car by ASKING the questions that you really need to know about a car..I could post a billion pictures on here..and people still wouldn't be happy..Yah gotta see the car in person or ask some serious questions...Whats important about the car, MUST HAVES..??Does it have this..?? How bad is the...etc etc...I know some people just aren't in the area to see the car..I understand that..I could take a picture of a quarter panel....and pan the camera one INCH away FROM A RUST HOLE..But..?? I aint like that......I could WASH the car down with TRANNY FLUID to make it look GLOSSY....I know all the tricks that people do...BUT the bottom line is..Its a pretty solid car for a person without a lot of money and build a rare car...That's it..!!

I think you both should go back and look at the first post by 69ishHoliday.

If someone started picking apart my $2k car I'd get an attitude with them too

For some reason people on this site think when they see car or part for sale they should offer their $.02 about price, quality, presentation, etc.

Do I get pissed when people come on here just to sell a car, sure, but maybe it's a car that you wouldn't get the chance at if you never saw it here

My apology to Tommy. I did begin my post with an attempt at humor at his expense. The car very well could be a good deal for someone in the area and maybe it doesn't even need engine repair, I don't know. I saw the site name as "STINKY HO" and didn't really expect something there to be taken very seriously. He volunteered that he had bought the car on impulse so my second post was the best advice I could offer.

If it's not RUSTY and needs an engine, and only $2k, that's not bad. I wish I had a body worthy of the 403 and '85 442 drivetrain. I can literally unlock my doors w/o a key- because you need only reach up into the door and unlock it. It's that rusty.

I am with the OP. I think his description was fair & he is presenting the car reasonablyt for what it is.

Nice.

And I thought your handle had to do with the car you were selling having a moldy interior.
