The Chevy engine is the original engine! GM used to mix engines with different cars within their brand

As far as asking price, who cares? Ask whatever you wish. You ask for "selective" feedback, but that's not how it works. If I give you some feedback, it'll be on whatever I want to feed back to you.
They only made 40 zillion of these cars in 79. And unless it's a Hurst/Olds or some other special model, or someone has a super-sentimental attachment to it, nobody's going to knock each other out clamoring to get to it. Hope they do, for your sake, but let's be real. A highly desireable model this is not. And likely a 200C transmission that was very weak.
Hardly anything on the car will remain original to fix it. Frame rot is serious business with these, yet very common in the rustbelt. And don't say that's an easy fix or you'd have done it by now. I see some trunk bubbles popping up too. More body work in this car's future. And the frame rust usually doesn't just stop there. Got to be concerned with other crusty components/fasteners as well.
With 166K it's going to be a tough sell no matter what. Nearly everything in the driveline from the transmission on back will have to be rebuilt for dependability. 166K is well-worn. Still got life left in her I'm betting since the engine rebuild, but pushing 200K miles everywhere else and looking like it. I look at cars like this and ask if the car would make a good first driver for my teenage daughter or not. Lotta work and $$ ahead for a car that isn't going to be worth that in the end. Would I buy it for 3-6K the way it sits? Nope.
That's my feedback.
