Definitely a straight car. The bumper fillers look to be in good shape too. I wonder what the condition of the frame and the rear bumper is given that they probably use salt in northern Indiana?
Very sharp looking vehicle... Years ago I owned a 1980 Holiday 88, bucket seats and console, with 350 diesel... Eventually sold it to my brother who converted it to gas and then resold it...
This is my 78 Holiday 88. 41,000 miles. 403, 3.23 rear, buckets and console. Original paint. Would sell to someone that would appreciate it. Greg. 1978 Holiday 88

Quite of few of these holiday coupes have been popping up around Michigan lately. Including one my home town. Was thinking about it, but heavy rust in the A pillar jamb killed my thoughts.
I never knew you could get a Delta 88 with a console...or a sport steering wheel like that. My grandfather bought his new in '78 and my brother inherited it. Wish we still had that car.
Does yours have the same sport style steering wheel too? Wondering if all Holidays came with console and sport wheel?

The console was only available on the base Delta 88 as part of the Holidsy Coupe option. I had several of those for demos and always enjoyed them. I always ordered the handling suspension, lower gears and bigger tires.
Even though I've always owned Cutlasses, I've always loved the big cars- 88's, 98's, wagons. I had the chance to buy an all original 1976 Custom Cruiser 9-passenger wagon 3 years ago and am kicking myself for not doing so! I've sold all my Cutlasses except my black 1979 Hurst/Olds which may go soon to make way for a full-sized Oldsmobile. Oldsmbl, was the car set up for towing? The optional 3.08's and 3.23's were usually reserved for trailer towing. Does it have a posi rear? Since it has the 3.23's, you had to take the Y72 HD cooling option.
With the 403 V8 and 3.23 rear end, this thing was rated to tow up to 6000 lbs. Does it have a hitch on it? I'm curious (and interested).
you can do a lot with these big cars now...96 impala SS suspension bolts right on...so huge sway bars and good brakes , springs and shocks and rear ends are easy to get...just about anything 73 up G-body works...its a good time to be a big car guy...
scottv442,
I like the look of the chrome super stock rims on your car. Are they the 14" rims available on the 85 and up Cutlasses or the 15" rims from the 85-87 442's?

They were the 15"x7" rims available on mid 80's Delta 88. 5x4.75 bolt circle
That's right, forgot they were available on the Delta's. Did you have the 350 in yours? What rear end?
came stock with blue block 350. I swapped in a 'street build' gold block 350 with custom headers & duals into it and added 3.42 posi. upgraded the trans to handle
the 100shot spray and ran it at our local track (3600' ASL) to best of 12.7/108mph. it was fun street car.
Nice - I had one of these cars, a Blue 79, from 1988 to 2002. I very seldom see one, but it makes me happy when I do. standard 2in gauges fit perfectly in the pods on each side of the column, unless you are lucky enough to get some factory ones.
